DO I NEED A PERMIT?
If you are considering remodeling your home or business, adding an accessory building, fence, carport, covered patio, a new roof or retaining wall, be sure you, or your contractor, apply for a building permit first. Permits are also required for any type of plumbing, HVAC mechanical and electrical work, as well as new irrigation systems, swimming pools, hot tubs, driveways, sidewalks, foundation repair, and decks. If you are removing sheetrock and modifying the framing in any way, a permit is required. It is always recommended if you are unsure if a permit is required, to check with our office before you begin.
